Totnes is served locally by four main bus companies:

Totnes Information Centre are also agents for National Express and you can buy or amend your tickets at the TIC. Dart Pleasure Craft Ltd also offer a bus service between Totnes and Paignton, with a new service to Greenway planned for 2008. In Totnes itself, Totnes Community Bus operate a town circular service on Mondays to Fridays. On Fridays, the bright yellow bus, known locally as 'Bob the Bus', also operates three services to the village of Stoke Gabriel. There are also two community bus services offering weekly shopping buses from some of the surrounding villages into Totnes. The outward trips are usually in the morning and the return trips are normally around mid-day. Services are usually once a week or even less frequent. Several shops and supermarkets offer free or heavily subsidised buses which pick up from Totnes at various times throughout the week Contact the Information Centre for details.
