The River Dart Harbour Master's Office is located in Dartmouth. The Dart is navigable from its outer limits offshore from Dartmouth Castle at Castle Ledge Buoy upstream for approximately 9.5 miles to the Dart Harbour northern limits at the Totnes Weir. Authority staff are afloat seven days a week throughout the summer to greet and assist visiting craft of all types and size to find a suitable available berth.
Summer Hours - Easter to the end September.
The Harbour Office is open Monday to Friday 0900-1700 hrs, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 1000-1600 hrs. River patrols run daily from 0730-2300 hrs
Winter hours
The Harbour Office operates winter hours between October and March and will be open Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 hrs, Friday 1000-1600 hrs. The office is closed at weekends.
Public holidays
The office is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. The office is open at Easter and during summer Bank Holidays between 1000 and 1600 hours.
