The Totnes Show is the biggest one-day show in the South West, always held on the last Thursday in July. It is a celebration of everything rural. There are demonstrations of rural crafts by blacksmiths, thatchers etc; sales of food and drink, grown, produced, manufactured, and brewed in the South West; animal shows and competitions.

2008 will mark the 90th anniversary of show. Plans are already underway and attractions usually include:

  • Sheep Shearing

  • Pony Club Racing for the Prince Philip Cup

  • Vintage car parade

  • Show jumping

  • Falconry displays

  • Terrier racing

  • Hound parade

  • Farm animal shows

  • South Hams Food and Drink marquee

  • Trade marquee

  • Craft marquee

If you are interested in entering any of the classes or wish to have a stand at the Show, please contact the Show Secretary in the initial instance at the address above.

You will find the showground near Berry Pomeroy, about a mile and a half from Totnes. It will be very well signed from all surrounding areas and is impossible to miss. There is usually a free park and ride bus service from Totnes.

Show opening hours: 8am-5pm. More details to follow in due course.
